BIOGRAPHY IN ENGLISH - ALEXIS KARPOUZOS

Alexis Karpouzos (Greek : Αλέξης καρπούζος) (born April, 9, 1967) is an internationally recognized Philosopher, Spiritual Teacher and Author. He has attended philosophy and social sciences lessons at the School of Philosophy and at the Law School of Athens. He participated in self-organized alternative education groups which were experiencing modern pedagogical and didactic theories and methods. He is experienced in the theory and the method of psychoanalysis. His research interests are the relationship between Time and Cosmos, Nature and History, Zero and Infinity, One - Multiple, Emptiness and Fullness, Technology and Art, Conscious and Unconscious.

Τhe originality of Alexis Karpouzos thought is that it crosses the most diverse fields, the most opposing philosophies, to unite them into an often contradictory and broken whole. Hegel's dialectical ontology and the contemporary thought of Marx, Nietzsche, Freud, Heidegger and others contribute as an interpretative framework for understanding the central problems of the technical and scientific world of his time. Novalis, Hölderlin, Rimbaud, Whitman, Eliot and others show the dreamlike nature of existence, the transcendence of the Cosmos, welcome the infinite.

He has published 16 books in Greek and 8 in English. His essays and articles have been translated and published in many languages, including French, German, Italian, Russian, Portuguese, and Hindi. He collaborates with social centers, university departments, and research institutes, maintaining contacts with scientists, poets, and artists worldwide.

 PHILOSOPHICAL WORK AND CONCEPTS

The thought of Alexis Karpouzos is characterized by the attempt to transcend traditional metaphysical oppositions and to understand the techno-scientific era.

1. Post-Ontological thought: Describes the attempt to transcend traditional metaphysics and ontology, focusing instead on the 'play' of the world rather than the search for a fixed essence of 'Being'."The coexistence of Man and World and its multiple transformations.

2. Open totality :Refers to Karpouzos's conception of the world as a whole that is not closed or static, but is in a constant state of motion and becoming.

3. Metaphysics of Openness: The opening of thought to the Unthinkable and the Unutterable.

4. Paradoxical Logic: The poetic transcendence of logical categories (being/non-being).

5. Diagonal Path: The convergence of opposites in the “One-All” or “Whole-Nothing.”

6. Universal Consciousness: The experience of interconnected existence as the coexistence of the All/Nothing.

7. Spherical Spacetime: The total-sum of all World perspectives, inseparable from the absolute Nothing, which transform indeterminately.

ALEXIS KARPOUZOS COMMUNITY

Alexis Karpouzos is a founder of the international community of learning, research and culture in Greece. More than 12000 people have participated in the lessons and community’s actions. The community has contacts and partnerships in 15 countries. Our goal is to create a spiritual experience in consciousness worldwide where people recognize that we are all part of an interconnected whole. The community’s activities include residential courses and conferences. The Community also runs discussion groups, social activities, art workshops, produces events, publishes books and videos in Greece. Apart from its educational and research aspects, the community organizes, develops and takes part in a self-organized actions: ·Art Actions (visual actions, musical actions and drama group), ·Cultural Actions (cinema club, dance club), Social Actions (Social Solidarity Clinic, social school, School for migrants and refugees).

Ερευνητικό έργο

Τρεις είναι οι κύριοι θεματικοί άξονες του ερευνητικού και συγγραφικού του έργου: ο πρώτος αφορά την αρχαία ελληνική φιλοσοφία με την ηθική και πολιτική της προβληματική (Ηράκλειτος, Παρμενίδης, Σοφιστές, Πλάτων, Αριστοτέλης, Επίκουρος. Ο δεύτερος επικεντρώνεται στη νεότερη ευρωπαϊκή φιλοσοφία (ο Διαφωτισμός και οι ιδεολογικές του προεκτάσεις, Καρλ Μαρξ, Νίτσε, Χέγκελ, Κίρκεγκωρ Μάρτιν Χάιντεγκερ. Ο τρίτος άξονας αφορά θέματα της σύγχρονης φιλοσοφίας, θεωρίας της λογοτεχνίας (εκπρόσωποι του Γαλλικού και αγγλοσαξονικού χώρου, αποδόμηση, αναλυτική φιλοσοφία. Έχει ασχοληθεί, επίσης, με τη φιλοσοφία της επιστήμης, την πολιτική φιλοσοφία, τη Ψυχανάλυση.

ΒΑΣΙΚΕΣ ΕΝΝΟΙΕΣ ΤΗΣ ΣΚΕΨΗΣ ΤΟΥ ΑΛΕΞΗΣ ΚΑΡΠΟΥΖΟΣ

Η «Μετα-οντολογική σκέψη» περιγράφει την προσπάθεια υπέρβασης της παραδοσιακής μεταφυσικής και οντολογίας, εστιάζοντας πλέον στο «ρυθμό και τις μεταμορφώσεις» του Κόσμου αντί για την αναζήτηση μιας σταθερής ουσίας του «Όντος».

Η «Ανοιχτή Ολότητα» αναφέρεται στην αντίληψη του Καρπούζου για τον κόσμο ως ένα σύνολο που δεν είναι κλειστό ή στατικό, αλλά βρίσκεται σε διαρκή κίνηση και γίγνεσθαι.

Η "Μεταφυσική της Ανοιχτότητας" είναι το άνοιγμα του στοχασμού στο Αδιανόητο και το Άρρητο Η ''Παράδοξη λογική'' συνιστά το ποιητικό ξεπέρασμα των λογικών κατηγοριών (είναι/μη-είναι).
